1. The Reference Service
Milpitas Residents Directory is a private reference about public rolls, record indexes, and directory collections concerning people who live or have lived in Milpitas, California. Government records are not hosted here. The service is independent of every office, court, library, and records custodian it names or links.
2. Acceptable Use
Use the reference and anything reached through it only in a lawful way. Prohibited uses include:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm any person
- Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
- Commit identity theft or fraud
- Make FCRA-regulated decisions involving credit, employment, housing, or insurance
- Scrape, copy, or republish the site's content at scale
- Interfere with the site's operation or security
3. No Consumer Reporting Agency Status
This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Neither these pages nor results supplied by a linked tool are consumer reports. They must not be used to decide eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.
4. Outside Links
Government portals, libraries, archives, and third-party services, including sponsored search tools, operate under their own terms. Their content, availability, charges, and data practices are outside the control of this reference.
5. No Warranty
The pages are supplied “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a detail is complete, accurate, or current, or that an external portal will remain available or return a particular result.
6. Liability Limits
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of these pages or an outside resource. This includes a decision made from a record found through a linked source.
7. Your Responsibility
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that results from misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
8. Copyright and Copying
Copyright protects the original text, design, logo, and layout. Ordinary linking and short attributed quotations are welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted.
9. Revisions
A revised version may be posted here at any time. Continuing to use the service after a change means the revised version applies.
10. Access Restrictions
Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms or abuses the service. The operators may take that step without advance notice.
11. California Law
California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Public-record references concern the California Public Records Act, Government Code §§7920.000 et seq., which governs access requests to California state and local agencies. Where applicable, consumer-privacy rights arise under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. Neither statute turns this private reference into a custodian or requires an agency to create a new record.
12. Severability
If a court finds one part unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect.
13. Questions
